� 2001-07-19 - 10:28 p.m. I went out last night with the Irish people I am training at work. They are just �dynamite�. We played basketball with three of the men. One of the men was a champion canoe racer. But he could not catch a ball to save his life. It is amazing how one can dominate one thing and blow chunks at another. The other Irish guys were not any better. The game was good for laughs. A high school girl was there and she humbled all of us with her ability. She played for Stevenson High School. Her team was fifth in state last year. After the game we met the rest of the Irish group at a bar. We got �rubber'd� (drunk). I explained baseball to them. They translated their slang to me. They found the menu item �Italian Sausage� to be humorous. Fannie Pack�s are also humorous. �If its not Scottish its crap.� We talked about the entire protestant vs. Catholic thing. How Chicago land is more diverse then Belfast. Druids, Stone Henge, Loch Ness, �The Leprechaun�. Everything was covered. They thought Mike Myers was hilarious doing the Leprechaun during Wayne�s World. How awesome is that. We drank lite beer and closed the place. Boy did today drag on after that.
